| Okuhida Onsen | |||||
Oku-Hida is located in the northern
part of Gifu and is a general term for the area along the Takahara-gawa
River, which is an upper stream of the Zintsu-gawa River. Oku-Hida is
famous for hot springs resorts such as Hirayu, Fukuji, Shin-Hirayu, Tochio,
and Shin-Hodaka, and the true pleasure lies in the gorgeous settings of
outdoor baths, surrounded by majestic mountain ranges and limpid streams.
You will have a great time to feel comfortable in the soothingly hot mineral
water. |

| Yudanaka Onsen | |||||
| For those who are interested
in Japanese macaques in Onsen tab, head for Yudanaka Onsen. Yudanaka Onsen is located in Yamanouchi, northern Nagano Prefecture. It has a long history as a hot spring resort, dating back hundreds of years. Onsens are an important part of the local culture with there being common onsen bathhouses open for public use and you can see some famous monkeys called gSnow Monkeyhenjoying the hotsprings at the Jigokudani Monkey Park, which draws many visitors from over the world. The monkeys are not the only ones enjoying the water, as the nearby towns such as Shibu Onsen are centered around the bathing experience. |
