"Shuraku" Visit (Day Trip OR 2days 1 night)
"Shuraku" means small village in Japanese. You will visit an old charming community village located deep within the mountains of the Japanese Alps and walk in the village with local guide and have a lunch. If you are interested in cooking local dish like Tofu or Soba, you can try it, too.
The view of the rice terraces combined with the gItakurah or wooden storage houses that are often over 100 years old provides a view of what Japan probably would have been hundreds of years ago. This community, due to its hidden location and language barrier, is difficult to access for foreigners.

Okuhida Onsen (2days 1 night)

Oku-Hida is located in the northern part of Gifu and is a general term for the area along the Takahara-gawa River, which is an upper stream of the Zintsu-gawa River. Oku-Hida is famous for hot springs resorts such as Hirayu, Fukuji, Shin-Hirayu, Tochio, and Shin-Hodaka, and the true pleasure lies in the gorgeous settings of outdoor baths, surrounded by majestic mountain ranges and limpid streams. You will have a great time to feel comfortable in the soothingly hot mineral water.
There are several high standard ryokan and you will have a great ryokan experience.

  Hida Furukawa Stay
Hida Furukawa is a quiet town, a 20 minute train ride from Takayama featuring 19th century townscape full of local life. Mostly untainted by the heavy busloads of tourists, the town is an ideal location for true cultural immersion.
If you are looking for quieter town for stay, instead of Takayama, this is the right choice.
This is also our home town and we can offer some accommodation to stay based on your preference.
